We experienced our first dose of winter today, but a dusting of snow shouldn’t scare you away from riding outside. We’ll once again be heading to the trails for our Sunday ride. The 3 hour ride will depart from the parking lot of the Daniel Wright Woods at 8AM and average 16.5-17 mph (trail speed).

Badger cross. Head to Madison this weekend for the Badger Cross races. This is the same course as nationals, which will be held in early January. Keep your fitness and check out the course. For details click here

Highland Park High School Training CX Rumble. The Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools have formed a new cycling team and their first event is a junior’s cyclo-cross clinic. Juniors of all ability levels, in grades 7th to 12th are eligible to participate. This weekday event will be held at the Highland Park High School. For more info click here
Cyclo-cross Nationals. Nationals is practically in your back yard, so plan to get in a practice run at Badger Cross and look to the stars in early January. For race details click here
Women’s Dinner. After the racing is finally over, join us to celebrate a truly amazing season as well as prepare for 2012. The annual Women’s Dinner is open to riders and racers of all abilities. The dinner will be held at Kathy Corbett’s home in Glenview on Saturday, January 21. Look for more details in the coming weeks.
