Women’s Cycling Clinics

Women’s Cycling Clinic – Our Women’s road cycling clinic is just around the corner. We’re geared up to instruct everyone from the recreational rider to the racer. We’ll cover everything from basic bike maintenance to skills that will build your confidence on the bike and increase your efficiency on the road. As a special bonus, those participating in the racing group will be instructed by Wayne Simon, a US Master’s Road National champion. The event will be held at the Highland Park High School and in case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside on the indoor track. For details or to register for the event click here

Women’s Track Clinic – If you’re even a little curious about riding a fixed gear bike or racing at the velodrome, attend this women’s only event. No worries, you can borrow one from Turin Bicycles or George Garner Cyclery. For details on the event or to register click here

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Can you believe the incredible weather we’ve been having lately? Typically we need to bundle up if we’re heading out the door on St. Patrick’s Day. This year we’ll need to apply sunscreen and wear a short sleeve jersey. No complaints here!

If you’re in the mood for a casual ride, head out to the St Patrick’s Day Ride in Wauconda.  There are route options ranging from 16 to 36 miles. For details on the event click here.

For a more spirited ride, join the Judson ride. This week the ride starts at 7:30AM, both Saturday and Sunday. It’s a 60 mile loop which will average 20+mph.  The ride departs from Greenleaf & Judson in Evanston, but you may opt to hang out at the Starbucks on Dempster, where the group collects the rest of the riders.

Gaper’s Block Crit Series. This week-long criterium series is designed to give the newer racers an opportunity to get their feet wet in criterium racing. The fields have been filling up quickly, so register soon! For details click here.
