Opening night at the Northbrook Velodrome was a blast. It was great to get back out there with all the familiar faces and a few new ones. Everyone is riding strong and smooth! I’m looking forward to a great season. Although there was a chill in the air earlier this week, and of course, last night at the velodrome, the heat is dialing up for the weekend. Get out and enjoy some great riding and racing, see the options below:

Upcoming Events:

Memorial Day Weekend Master’s Races. If you’re over 30 and you’d like to race, but stay close to home, head out to Master’s Series in Wood Dale. These industrial park courses have their challenges, but they are not too technical. For details click here

Memorial Weekend Races in the Quad Cities. Once upon a time, this series was the unofficial start of the cycling season. Although there are so many early races these days, not many compare to this series, which includes the famed, ‘Snake Alley’. For information on all the events click here

Bike the Drive Looking for a chance to ride on Lakeshore Drive? Don’t miss out on this year’s Bike the Drive. It’s a low-key cycling event with the best scenery around. Proceeds from the event go to the Active Transportation Alliance. For details on the event click here
