Triple Challenge Weekend

It’s a triple dose of Chicross Cup races this weekend. The fun begins tonight on the Psycho-cross course in Wauconda, followed by Psycho-cross (day) and Carpetersville. If you enjoy racing cross for the fun of riding in mud and slick conditions, this weekend may be spectacular.  We’ll see what the weekend brings, weather-wise. I hope it’s dry, at least during the day! Check below for a listing of what’s coming up.

Rides:

Sunday Trail Ride – It may be great to race cross in adverse conditions, but it’s not so wonderful on a training ride. Let’s hope the weather cooperates for our Sunday ride. If it’s not raining, we’ll head out on the DPR trail from the Daniel Wright woods at 7:30 AM.

Thursday Night Trail Ride – Join Fredo for an evening trail ride along the Greenbay trail. The ride departs from Higher Gear Wilmette at 5:30 PM. Make sure your lights are fully charged!

Events:

Psycho-cross After Dark- The first race starts at 7PM so you’re gonna need your lights. It’s not your typical lineup, so be prepared for some crazy fun. For details click here.

Chicross Cup Race #4 – It’s Psycho-cross in Wauconda. This course is known for lots of open power stretches and a flyover. For race details click here.

Chicross Cup Race #5 – Day two of this triple header weekend is Carpentersville. This course is a bit more technical than Saturday’s race, so if that’s your strength, save yourself for Sunday. For race details click here.

Further Cross – Held on the same course as last year’s cross national championships at Badger Prairie Park in Verona, WI. For race details click here.

Coming up:

5th Annual Kit up and Chat Ride – Join the ladies of the Project 5 team on their annual post road season ride and picnic. Whether you’re a casual rider, triathlete, roadie, this event welcomes all women to share their experiences of riding.  For details click http://www.facebook.com/mobileprotection#!/events/243615359095228/

Chicross Cup Race #6 – Next week the series heads to Sunrise Park in Bartlett. For race details click here.

Stay dry and have a great weekend!
