Weekend Warm-up

Don’t miss out on the warm weather forecasted for this weekend. The warm-up won’t last long, so enjoy every ounce of the great outdoors while it’s pleasant. There are lots of rides and races, just see the list below for details.

Rides:

Saturday Trail Ride – Join Lynn and Fredo for an afternoon ride on the DPR trail. It should be delightfully warm and rain free! The ride will depart from the Daniel Wright woods parking lot at 1:30PM on Saturday.

Sunday Trail Ride – Join us for an endurance ride on the DPR trail. The ride will depart from the Daniel Wright woods parking lot at 7:30AM and it’s generally a 3 hour loop.

Fredo’s Thursday Night Trail Ride – Join Fredo on Thursday nights during the fall. The ride departs Higher Gear Wilmette at 5:30PM and heads north to Highland Park and back on the Greenbay trail. Don’t forget your lights!

Events:

Chicross Cup Series Races #9 & #10 – Head out to Hilton Indian Lakes on Saturday and stay for a double race weekend.  There are plenty of bonuses to this weekend series including a locker room and a great place to hang out before and after the races. For race details click here.

Cam-Rock CX Classic – This area is better known for mountain biking, so maybe it’ll be a technical cross course? The course is located near Madison, Wisconsin. For race details click here.

Coming Up:

Chicross Cup Series Race #11 – The Melas CX Basin Racin’ race in Mt Prospect is the last Chicross cup race before the state championships at Montrose. For race details click here.

Jingle Cross – This series is typically the weekend after Thanksgiving, but this year it’s a week early. It’s a UCI race so there’ll be plenty of competition and great spectating as well. For race details click here.

Norge Ski Jump Cross – I’m sure it’s crossed a few people’s minds about having a cross course include a ski jump, but no such luck : ) There are still plenty of hills and obstacles to make this a fun and exciting course.  Interested? For race details click here.

Have a great weekend!
