2013 Women’s Cycling Dinner

SRAM SLOWe’ve seen and heard some discouraging news in cycling this week. Although it’s sad, it shouldn’t deter the rest of us from doing what we love to do – ride our bikes! As a kid, the bike was our first vehicle for freedom and in some ways, it’s what keeps us so young today. Focus on what matters to you and train to be the best you can be. Cycling is our escape from the challenges of our daily lives. Remember that and get out and ride!
2013 Chicago Winter Bike Swap – This is a great event where you can pick up everything from that odd bike part to a bike or cycling gear and equipment. The event is held at Harper College in Palatine from 9:30AM to 3:30PM tomorrow. For information on the event click here.
ABD Indoor Time Trial – The cyclo-cross season is still carrying on from 2012, but for the roadies, a new season is just beginning. Test out your current fitness level at the first indoor time trial of the season. This Sunday’s course is a flat 10K event. For details click here.
Coming Up:
Annual Women’s Cycling Dinner – Next Saturday we’ll gather at Kathy Corbett’s home for a fun-filled evening to share our memories of the 2012 season and look ahead to 2013. The event will include a delicious meal prepared by Kathy, which will include entrees for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free diets. The event will also include an awards presentation, honoring all who attend for their accomplishments in cycling. Follow the link on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/224135311056101/?ref=2 or if you have any questions, please send me an e-mail. Hope to see many of you there!
Have a great weekend!
