Interested in bike racing? Attend the Bike Racing Panel discussion at 1PM where Marie Snyder and I will represent women racers in the Chicago area. Ladies Night Out – Need a midweek pick-me-up? Head out to M&M Cyclery this Wednesday for an informative and fun evening just for the ladies. Need a little more nudging? There will be wine and chocolate! For event details click herehttp://e2.ma/webview/wioie/abcc1778de5d883d2ee5188f8d62f249.
Women’s Weekend at Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park – I attended this event last year and had so much fun and learned a ton. Pro mountain biker, Leigh Donovan will lead a team of instructors to help you with everything from rock gardens to the pump track and even jumps (jumps not required). This year’s event is March 15-17. For details click here http://www.raysmtb.com/mke/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=56&Itemid=89.
Races:
Half Acre’s Gaper’s Block Crit Series – What better way to figure out this racing thing than practice, practice, practice and that’s what the Gapers Block Crits are all about. The women’s 4 field has added more slots. If you haven’t signed up yet, get going! Click here for information on Half Acre events and contact information http://www.halfacrecycling.org/.
Kenosha Velosport Spring Criterium Training Races – More opportunities to practice crit racing before the season gets started. This series is for all levels and includes master’s fields.
