It’s a dueling sort-of weekend between road and track racing. Both local velodromes will be busy with clinics and races and the road will also offer up a full slate of events, including the state championship road race. You may need to flip a coin to help you decide what to do, but no matter what you do, you’ll have fun if you’re on your bike!
O’Fallon GP –The racing starts this evening with a series prologue followed by the Illinois State Road Race on Saturday and a criterium on Sunday. It’s a four hour drive from Chicago, but the series is worth the drive. For more information, click here http://www.ofallongrandprix.com/.
Women’s Track Cycling Clinic #2 – The second in this two-part series is at the Chicago Velo Campus on the City’s south side. Come out and learn about track riding and racing on a 53 degree banked track. Track certification is included as well as a post event BBQ! Don’t miss out on all the fun. Team Apache 40K TT – Located in Paw Paw, Illinois, this is another favorite TT course.
