Chicross Cup Series Race #2– This week the series heads to the corn country of DeKalb, Illinois. The race course is located in Hopkins Park, and is familiar to many. It’s a figure 8 configuration with a flyover as its main feature. The course also includes a short section of single-track, some off camber sections and some open grassy sections. Badger Prairie Super Cross –Located in Verona, Wisconsin, this course has been used for many high-powered cross events such as Nationals and the Midwest Challenge. This time around, the race is part of the Wisconsin Super Cup series, so if you’re looking to gain points, this race is a must-do! For race details, click here.
The People’s Cross –It’s a bit of a hike to get to Oshkosh, but the promoters are calling this course a “promising venue”. The race is being held at the Winnebagoland BMX track, which should be just enough detail to make you curious about this sure-to-be interesting cross course. For race details, click here.
Al Stern Marathon Bicycle Road Race – If you’re looking to get some long and fast-paced road miles, this race is perfect for you. The course is located in Aroma Park and is part of the Two Rivers course held in the summer. The course is flat, but make no mistake, there will be wind! For race information, click here.
Track Cycling Banquet – The 2015 track cycling season for the Ed Rudolph Velodrome is over. Time to celebrate the success of the season at the annual banquet. The banquet will be held on Sunday, October 11 at EJ’s Place in Skokie. Chicross Cup Series Race #3 – Next week’s race will be held at Dan Ryan Woods, which is a gem on the south side of the city. Located near the Beverly neighborhood, this course offers climbing, which leads to some fast descents. There are also flat open areas, a section that winds through the trees and a set of flagstone steps to run up. It’s a great course right here in the city. For race details, click here.
Trek CXC Cup –Next weekend will be an action-packed in Waterloo, Wisconsin. There’ll be everything from a women’s social, clinics and of course, racing! This is a UCI event, so the biggest names in cross will be there. There will also be amateur racing on a technically challenging course. For a full listing of all the events, click here.
