The holiday season is upon us with parties and get-togethers, which makes keeping a strict training schedule pretty tough. You can still enjoy the season and maintain your fitness, but you may have to get a little creative. You can do it, and you’ll be much happier if you make the effort! If you’re looking for one more competitive event before the year is over, you’re in luck with the Afterglow race this weekend. Read below for more details.
Afterglow – The main cross season may be over, but the fun continues, especially for those addicted to this sport. The Afterglow race is always competitive, but a bit lighthearted. The race course is located in the city on the Douglas Park Golf Course and features sand traps, off camber berms and other little technical challenges. Proceeds from the race go to the youth programs at Blackstone Bicycle Works and West Town Bikes, so it’s an event you can feel good about doing. For race information, click here.
