Welcome in the New Year! It’s a time of celebration, a time to reflect and a time to set new goals for the coming year. The opportunities are endless, so go into this new year with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and passion for the things that make your life complete.
Hugh Jass Fat Bike Race Series Event #3 –You’d think it would be time to stay inside this time of the season, but with today’s fat bikes, which can conquer just about any terrain, the racing continues! This weekend’s race will be held at Whitnall Park, near Milwaukee. This park hosts the classic Whitnall Park criterium during the road season. This time around it’ll be a bit different going off-road and through the snow. Should be a fun adventure. For race information, click here.
National Cyclo-Cross Championships – The national championships for cyclo-cross begin this Tuesday, January 5th and continue through the 10th. The races will be held in Asheville, North Carolina. Events will include non-championship, juniors, masters, U23 and elite races. Good luck to all those from our area competing at this national level event. For information on the event, click here.
ABD Indoor Time Trial Series – Event #1 – It’s that time of year again! When the conditions outside are cold and snowy, the solution to keep race-ready is to compete in this annual indoor race series. The first event features a 10K flat course, which means you just pour out steady power for as long as it takes. Each of the indoor courses is held at the Winfield Central High School. Annual Women’s Dinner – Plan ahead to attend the annual women’s dinner. It’s always a great time to catch up with your favorite racers and riders, enjoy an amazing dinner catered by Kathy Corbett and go home with an award reflective of your seasons accomplishments. The event will be held at Leigh Thompson’s home in Winnetka on January 23. For more information, click on the Facebook link here.
