UCI World Cyclo-Cross Championships

We’re in for a bit of a heatwave this weekend, with temps reaching into the mid 40’s. Be sure to get outside and feel the freedom only a great bike ride can bring!

There may be a heatwave in Chicago, but things will really be heating up in a place about four thousand miles away. The cycling world will turn its focus to Hoogerheide, Belgium this weekend with the 2016 UCI World Championship Cyclo-Cross races. We’ll have newly crowned champions this Sunday, will your favorite be among them? For information on the event, click here.

Whatever the course, the event should be fun. For details, click here.

Chicago Winter Bike Swap – If you’re looking for a good deal on bikes, bike parts or other cycling equipment, then you should head out to the bike swap this Sunday. Plan to arrive early for the best finds and stay late for the best deals. For more information on the event, click here.

Coming up:

Frosty Hog Fat Tire Relay Race – Next weekend, head north to Cudahy, Wisconsin for this fat tire relay race. The course is located in Sheridan Park, which is located along Lake Michigan, and may create a great environment for a fierce course. For race details, click here.

Hugh Jass Fat Bike Series Event #6 – The fat bike series continues with a trip north to Fon du Lac, where there certainly is a better chance of snow.
