We’re just a few days away from the summer solstice, so we have the perfect mix of daylight and warm weather to enjoy our favorite sport. Whether you just tool around town, head out to the trails or take part in a road race, just be sure to soak up all the fun the season has to offer.

Events:

Tour of America’s Dairyland – Wisconsin’s biggest racing series begins today! It’s ten days of racing with several classic courses located across the state. You can pick and choose your races based on your schedule or commit to the full series and go for the overall. For more information, click here.

O’Fallon Grand Prix Omnium – Head to southern Illinois where the land is a little bumpier and there are some great bike racing courses. The O’Fallon Grand Prix is a three day event which includes a time trial, road race and criterium. For event details, click here.

Scarlet Fire 30KTT – Located in Garden Prairie, this time trial course is a little rangy, but nothing too technical. For details on the event, click here.

Track Cycling:

Wisconsin/Illinois Junior Track Championships – The junior track championships for both Illinois and Wisconsin will be held this weekend at the Ed Rudolph velodrome in Northbrook. There should be plenty of competition and larger fields of riders. For details on the event, click here.

Sprinter’s Omnium – This is the second in a series of three sprinters events at Ed Rudolph this summer. Events include match sprints, Danish win & out and scratch races. The event is next Saturday, June 25. For race information, click here.

Coming up:

ABR Illinois State Time Trial Championships – Looking to grab a state championship jersey? Head out to Paw Paw for a challenging out and back 40K course. The course features a slight grade and hills which will test your mental and physical fitness. For race information, click here.
