We’ve got a lot on the schedule for the next few weeks as we head into the fall season of racing and riding. The best thing is there’s something for everyone. Road racing and riding, cross racing and clinics and whatever else you can dream of doing on your bike. The weather’s perfect, so get out and have some fun on your bike!
Team Time Trial – This is an exceptional event. It combines teamwork, skill and a bit of pain, but, it by far, is one of the most rewarding cycling events around. Gather your teammates, work on communication and skills and prepare to head out to Harvard, Illinois tomorrow morning. For race information, click here.
Harmon Hundred – It’s September, so it’s primetime for Centuries. Enjoy a fully supported ride on scenic and quiet roads. You can choose from 25, 50, 75 or the full 100 mile routes. For ride information, click here.
Chicross Cup Series Race #1 – Here we go! The chicrosscup series gets underway with the first race in LaBagh Woods. This park has a little bit of history with cross racing in Chicago and it’s also used for practice crits in the summer. It should be a perfect location to get the series started. The Svens are Coming – Looking to work on your cross skills to improve your placing in races? Attend these cross clinics by World Champion racers. This is a pretty fantastic opportunity, so don’t miss out on the fun and a great learning opportunity. For clinic information, click here.
Fall Fling – Got some road racing left in you? Head out to this annual series in the western suburbs. The series consists of three criteriums and one time trial, held over two weekends. Each course gets a little more technical, but nothing too crazy. For series information, click here.
Rapha – Trek before the Trek Cup – Join the Rapha crew for this Wednesday morning ride. They’ll have their new mobile clubhouse, Fran’s, and they’ll be serving up coffee, beverages and donuts! You may have to play hooky or show up a little late for work to attend this 40 mile ride, but it’ll get your day off to a great start. For information and to register, click here.
Trek CX Cup – It’s a big weekend for cross with events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday! They’ll have rides, a clinic and some awesome racing! For event information, click here.
Northshore Century – A local favorite for this time of the year! This fully supported ride begins in Evanston, and riders can choose from 25 50, 62 and 100 miles – which will get you all the way to Kenosha and back. For ride information, click here.
Jingle Cross – It’s back-to-back UCI Cyclo-cross weekends in the Midwest with Trek CX Cup and Jingle cross, so this season is getting off to a blazing start. There’ll be a little less ho-ho-ho at this year’s Jingle Cross, since it’s being held in September, but the racing will be just as spectacular. For event information, click here.
Have a great weekend!
