Midwest Cyclocross Regional Championships

Winter doesn’t officially begin for a few more days, but if this past week is any indication of what’s to come, we’re going to have to put on our tough Midwestern pants and plow through the upcoming months. The outdoor events this weekend will be for the hearty. No worries, there are plenty of local indoor riding options out there to keep you working towards your 2017 riding goals.

Braver than the Elements – Women around the world will be participating in this annual winter ride. Unfortunately, the Chicago edition will be postponed until a time where it is safe for riders to participate. The ride may be postponed, but there’ll still be a party at the Rapha Chicago Clubhouse tomorrow morning. Come out, have some treats and hang with local cycling enthusiasts! For details, click here.

Peoria Frosty CX – This race will live up to its name with the wintery conditions in our forecast. This will be the more local option for racing this weekend, so if you’re just looking to have fun and stay in shape, this may be your pick event for the weekend. For event information, click here.

Midwest Cyclocross Regional Championships – Looking to do one better than a state championship? You’ll have your chance tomorrow in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The course will feature an uphill start, off camber sections, a ride on the snow covered speedway, and a spin through the Barn o’ Barriers. For a preview of the course and conditions, click here.
