ToAD Continues

Summer officially began earlier this week and while we’ve enjoyed the longer days and warm weather, we’ve also seen a few downpours to shake things up. Whether sunshine or rain, there’s plenty to do on your bike. Get out and enjoy! Check below for a few upcoming options.


Commuter Challenge – The commuter challenge continues through the June 30th. Whether you’ve signed up to participate or you’re just tracking your miles quietly, enjoy the journey! For more information, click here.

Tour of America’s Dairyland – The eleven day series continues today with the Bay View Classic. Rounding out the weekend there’s the famed Downer Ave on Saturday and the East Tosa Grand Prix on Sunday. There’s no slowing down in this Midwest series, which has seen some wicked racing over the last week. For details on the series, click here.

Hot Dog Crits Event #3 –It’s the third and final event of this weekday criterium series, which is designed to give riders an opportunity to practice racing skills. The events are low-cost and the rewards are experience and the potential bragging rights, or hot dog status. For event information, click here.

Big Marsh Short Track Series Event #3 – Event #2 was cancelled due to conditions created by the weather, but the third event is on target for Thursday, June 29th. Be a part of this weekday, off-road series which is a little like crit racing in the dirt. It’s fast and it’s fun and it’s located on the south side of the city. For race information, click here.


Track Cycling

Midwest Challenge – It’s the annual two-day track cycling event which features mass start events today and individual and team events tomorrow. Competitors from around the country flock to this Indianapolis classic. For more information, click here.

Masters Track Nationals – The track scene will move from Indy to South Carolina when the 2017 Master’s Track Nationals begin on Tuesday. Chicago and the Midwest will be well represented and hopefully we’ll see some hardware come home. For information on the event, click here.

Coming Up –

Le Tour de France – It’ll be calm around here next weekend with the upcoming 4th of July holiday, but things will just be getting started in France as they get underway with Le Tour de France 2017. The race begins on Saturday, July 2nd and continues through Sunday, July 23rd. Get set to watch all the drama unfold. For more information, click here.
