After several weeks of intense racing on the road, this weekend offers a little reprieve – unless you head north. Your local options include track racing, a group ride, of which there are many, or the trails. Whatever you choose, the sun will be shining and the temps will be perfect for a great weekend outside.
Tour of Little Switzerland – Exciting road racing continues this weekend with a three stage omnium in New Glarus, Wisconsin. The two day event includes a time trial, road race and criterium. The series will put your climbing legs to the test, as the area is known for its hills. After the racing, you can take in some of the beautiful scenery and maybe even enjoy a local beer. Illinois State Master’s Track Championships – The Illinois State Master’s track championships will be held at the Ed Rudolph velodrome tomorrow. Events will include all timed and team events. For more information, click here.
Countryside Criterium – This race brings crit racing back to the local level. It’ll still be fast and furious, but it’ll be close to home and the field will be made up of mostly local friends.
