Chilly Cross

We’re going to have some chilly temps this weekend to coincide with some chilly-themed racing! Whether you head north or south, there’s cycling fun to be had! Will you challenge yourself to some serious or lighthearted racing this weekend? Check the listings below for options.


Midwest Regional Cross Championships – The state championships are in the rear view mirror, so it’s on to a bigger goal of earning a regional championship title. Head to the Madison area this weekend for this regional event. The course will be located at the familiar cross location of Angel Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Hugh Jass Fat Bike Series Race #4 – This event will be held on the mountain bike trails at Lake Geneva Canopy Tours Center. This is destined to be a great outdoor event with over nine miles of single-track! Be sure to wear your ugly holiday sweater for extra points. For event information, click here.

Miller Chill CX – If you’re still looking to race cross, but on the local level, head south to Bloomington for this exciting race. The course features a stone bridge, flyover, sandy beach crossing, and a few hills. The course is located in Miller Park, which has a zoo for a great post-race activity. Coming Up:

Afterglow – A Cyclocross Race – This event is all about having fun and raising money for youth bicycle programs in Chicago. This year the race will be held at Douglas Park, which is another gem in our fine city. Head out and compete in one or multiple categories, including the Grudge Match.
